The Jaguar is the largest cat in the Americas. The coat color ranges from pale yellow to reddish brown, with a much paler (often white) underbelly. The jaguar rosettes (the group of spots) consists of a pattern of spots enclosing smaller spots. Some jaguars have black-on-black (melanistic) coloration.
